STUDENT ORGANIZATION RENEWAL FORMS
Registration forms were put into student organization Union mailboxes
and sent via campus mail to groups in other buildings on August 31,
2006. THEY ARE DUE THIS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2006, in order for your
group to stay active on campus. Groups failing to turn in their renewal
forms will become inactive and lose all university privileges, such
as segregated fee funding, room reservations, office space, etc. Please
check with all your officers to make sure someone turned in the form.
The form is required, even if you turned in a change of officer form
in the summer.
SAC MEETING
Senate Appropriations Committee will be having its meeting on Tuesday
September 19th at 8:30 P.M. in room 220 of the union. Sorry for the
short notice, but it was not announced until last night.
SANDBURG ADVERTISING POLICY
I'm sure many of you are interested in promoting your events to residents
of University Housing. We've put all of our advertising and reservation
policies, as well as all of the relevant forms on our website at: http://www.universityhousing.uwm.edu/facilities_services/advertising_reservations.cfm
There are a few changes this year, the most notable of which is the #
of flyers you need to submit. In an effort to combat "poster blindness" on
the resident floors near the elevators, we will be posting all campus
flyers in large bulletin boards in high-traffic areas (Sandburg: the
cafeteria and the 1st-floor commons near the Grind/Emporium, Purin & Kenilworth:
Lobby). If you have any questions about our advertising policies, please
contact the Program Services Center at 229-5343.
HELP HABITAT FOR HUMANITY AND GET A FREE LUNCH!
Volunteers will help move donated items from the Milwaukee Habitat for
Humanity warehouse to the new Habitat ReStore, a resale shop. Money raised
goes to building homes for local families. This event will take place
on Tuesday, September 19, from 9am to 3pm, and CVSL will be providing
transportation in 2 shifts (9-noon, and noon-3) and both shifts will
get a free lunch! For more information please contact Amanda O'Donnell
at leader1@uwm.edu.
