Although there has been some problems and delays caused by the lack of staff in the office, the staff have been working hard to catch up on everything. The renewal process was finished this week, so the web list of groups should be updated shortly. The good news is we have five candidates for the office manager position and will be interviewing them in the next two weeks. We also have two transfer requests for the business manager position, which means we can have someone who understands UWM accounting procedures in place fairly quickly. We will interview those candidates in two weeks. As soon as we get some consistent office coverage we will return to being open on Wednesdays and normal operating hours. We also will be utilizing some of the staff from the Office of Student Life to help fill in coverage gaps in our staffing. Unfortunately they will not be able to provide much policy or financial assistance, but will be able to take messages and accept forms.
