SAC LARGE GRANT MEETING (NOVEMEBER 17 - 19, 2006
The following link (http://www.uwm.edu/Dept/sao/Finance/SAC/LargeGrant.htm) will take you to a preliminary agenda for the large grant meetings to be held next weekend. Note: If the current time assigned to you is not acceptable, the SAC Chair, Daniel Bahr [dvbahr@uwm.edu], will accept requests to change your time only up until 3:00 P.M. on Thursday (11/16). If you turned in a funding request on time and do not appear on the agenda please contact Dan to work out any problems. Anyone who did not turn in a large grant request before 4:00 P.M. on November 3rd will not appear on the agenda. Groups who do not have a presenter appear before the committee to discuss their requests will have their requests tabled indefinitely. NO EXCEPTIONS

VICE CHANCELLOR OF STUDENT AFFAIRS INTERVIEWS
Six finalists for Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs have been selected. Students leaders are invited to meet with each candidate. Please mark your calendars for the following 4:15-4:45 p.m. meetings:

NEW 60-DAY REIMBURSEMENT DEADLINE
Please be aware that during the past year, UWM travel policy has been updated to state that in order to be reimbursed, all Travel Expense Reports must be submitted to the UWM Travel Office within 60 days of the travelers' return, and all claims for reimbursement of non-travel related expenses must be received no later than 60 days after the expense was incurred. The Travel Office will begin enforcement of this policy in earnest beginning with the new year (January 2007). Until then, we will be sending reminders to all travelers who submit late TERs, with a copy to the signing supervisor. You can read the detailed policy in Part IV of the Administrative Services Manual Section 5.2.3 (http://www.bfs.uwm.edu/ASM/5-2-03.htm).

IKON PRINTING FORMS
Those student groups that have set up printing accounts with the Center for Student Involvement for printing at IKON need to stop by CSI for updated approval sheet. Forms from last year expired on June 30, 2006, groups need to get a new form for this fiscal year.

EGG ROLL AND FRIED RICE SALE
The Hmong American College Students (HACS) is going to have an egg roll and fried rice sale on Thursday, November 16, 2006. The sale will take place at Kenwood United Methodist Church, 2319 E. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR BLOOD DRIVE
IN THE UNION BALLROOM; APPOINTMENTS STILL AVAILABLE This Wednesday, November 15, 2006, there will be a blood drive in the Union Ballroom. All donors will receive a free burrito and a buy 1-get 1 free coupon from Noodles. The goal of the blood drive is to collect over 100 pints of blood to disseminate to area hospitals. If you are interested in volunteering or donating, please fill out the information below and send to akmoody@uwm.edu. Appointments will be scheduled every 15 minutes. Walk-Ins are also welcome.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO ASSIST LOCAL ELDERLY RESIDENTS WINTERIZE THEIR HOMES
For those of you who couldn't make the Rak-a-thon or would like to help another elderly resident winterize their home should contact Amanda O'Donnell at leader1@uwm.edu or at (414) 229-3161. Tasks will include raking leaves, cleaning gardens and cleaning windows. You can sign up as an individual or get a team together to help with this event. We are looking for approximately 15 students or staff who would be able to go within the next week or two on their own time. Email Amanda at leader1@uwm.edu for more details or to sign up.
