Organization Advising.
Thank you for being a faculty/staff advisor to one or more recognized student organization and assisting with their out of class experience.
The student organization advisor serves as an agent to the university in a voluntary capacity to the designated recognized student organization and provides the guidance, advice, mentoring and direction to the members of the organization. The contribution that faculty/staff advisors make student organization advisor plays a significant role in the development and continuity of a student organization and its members. This relationship between the recognized student organization and the advisor is an important stage in the development of the member's organizational, leadership and communication skills.
The Center for Student Involvement strives to support the role of faculty/staff advisor by providing services, resources and educational opportunities that will assist you. This website was designed to offer valuable resources and tools to assist advisors with he task of steering organizations through the maze of policies, procedures and laws they will encounter throughout the academic year.
