Student Organization Training.

The Center for Student Involvement offers training for student organizations and their advisors. There are two ways to arrange a training session for your student organization:

Schedule an appointment for one or more individuals from your organization to meet with the Student Activities Advisor, Tom Dake. You may schedule an appointment by calling 229-5780.

Training request:
You can also schedule a training session by requesting a trainer to attend your organization’s meeting. The Student Organization Development Advisors (SODA) are peer consultants and trainers for student organizations. To request a SODA training session, use the Training Request for Registered Student Organization form (PantherSync)

The following topics are available by appointment and/or request:

Online Training Resources

PowerPoint presentations are available online for student organization training. Presentations are located in the sidebar to the right under the heading "Online Org Training."

About Training Sessions

Those attending are strongly encourage to bring a laptop computer with wireless internet so that the need for handouts can be reduced and important resources can be “bookmarked” on laptop browsers for later use (this is not required).
Individuals who attend trainings are expected to share the information provided with the other members of their student organization. Most training sessions will require one hour.
