Erik Hancock Finalist in Terreform One Prize Competition
Saturday, August 28, 2010
Erik Hancock (M.Arch. Fall 2008) has been named a finalist in the Terreform One Prize Competition. This international competition, sponsored by City of New York Parks and Recreation and the American Society of Landscape Architects, asked competitors to engage issues of sustainability in the built and natural environment. Over two hundred teams (comprising some 850 individuals), from twenty countries representing five continents competed. After two rounds of judging by a distinguished jury, six projects were selected including: two winners and four finalists. Erik's entry, entitled "Reclaiming," was the only one among the finalists to be submitted by a single designer rather than from a team. SARUP congratulates Erik on a distinguished design.
