A wide range of built work by Valerio Dewalt Train will be used to explain the firm’s methods to base their designs on user research. Projects will include higher education, K-12 schools, retail, and housing. The presentation will be an introduction to a four year summer internship program the firm will be sponsoring at UWM. Each summer two students will receive a scholarship for two months. The program is called “The Future of the Future.” Over four years, each summer will focus on a different typology; beginning with The Future of Work, followed by The Future of Learning, the Future of Pleasure, and finally the Future of Urban Living.
