Professor Van Oudenallen passed away in June 2011.

Bio
Harry Van Oudenallen is a principal in architectural firm with award winning designs. He maintains an eclectic practice from small scale to large scale architecture, including work in disaster relief and cross cultural settings.

Professor Van Oudenallen most recent research interests are in housing and society, self-help housing, and the application of research on aging in the design studio. He is also interested in public involvement in planning and design, research on children's play and learning environments, the effects of the designed environment on children's play behavior, planning and design for the handicapped, pattern language and marketplaces.
