French New Wave Cinema: An Introduction

Why do Scorsese, Coppola, Lucas and Tarantino know the names Godard and Truffaut? Because these and other directors of the French Nouvelle Vague have changed American cinema forever. This class gives you a very brief introduction to the New Wave by watching French films with English subtitles. This class is conducted mostly in English. No textbook required.
