Study the most important Latin American authors in order to acquire a global understanding of Spanish literature. Excerpts from a variety of authors are read and analyzed in Spanish, as they were originally written. To provide a broad range, the syllabus includes works by masters as varied as, Gabriel García Márquez, Isabel Allende, Jorge Luis Borges, Carlos Fuentes, Pablo Neruda and Julio Cortázar, amongst others.
