Creating a Trauma-Sensitive School 2: Classroom Strategies Available Online

 

This session incorporates management strategies as well infuses best practices in implementing techniques used to coordinate and increase in-class processes for integrating and providing ways to reduce children's disciplinary actions, drop-out rates, seclusions, etc.

  You will learn to:
  • Integrate trauma sensitivity into classroom management strategies
  • Coordinate trauma-informed approaches into ongoing strategies such as RTL and Positive Behavioral Supports relative to reducing disruption, seclusion and restraint, suspension and discipline and drop-out rates
  • Provide trauma-proofing for all students for acute and chronic trauma experience
  • Increase staff understanding how physical and procedural conditions in class can exacerbate trauma response
