Coffeehouse Blues: The Folk Blues Revival

From the mid-1950's to the mid-1960's, acoustic Blues music thrived in coffeehouses in Greenwich Village and elsewhere. Established folk/jazz/blues musician Dave Van Ronk, along with older blues artists such as Mississippi John Hurt and Rev. Gary Davis, gave a new audience their first opportunity to discover folk blues. Through lectures, videos and audio recordings, learn about this exciting period in music history known as "The Folk Blues Revival."
