Essentials of Editing

Develop copy editing skills, and learn to address the interests and needs of your audience. Focus on line editing (grammar, punctuation, word usage, organization and coherence); the relationship between writer and editor; and how to develop good editorial judgment. Work on examples from professional, academic and technical publications as well as your own work.
