	Writing Poetry for Children and Young Adults

	To write poetry for children and young adults, you need an understanding of a young audience as well as poetic language, imagery, meter and rhyme. We’ll examine age-appropriate topics and forms in recent poems for children and young adults. Discuss how poetry is used in picture books, anthologies and children's magazines. Complete exercises to help you craft and revise your own poetry for children and bring home more resources to explore on your own! PLEASE NOTE: SPRING SESSION CANCELLED.
