Building Dynamic Websites: AJAX - Web Services

 

This course introduces several browser-server communications methods that will make web pages more dynamic and provides hands-on experience with requesting and receiving messages using several data formats.

This course can be taken individually or as part of the Web Certificate program.

Upon completion of the course you should be able to:

  • Process a simple AJAX call to a server and use a call to change or customize page content dynamically
  • Embed an AJAX call in a page to preview text or autocomplete a form field
  • Process XML and JSON content in an AJAX call
  • Call an existing web service through an API
  • Tell the difference between using SOAP and REST web services

HTML Part 1 and Part 2, CSS Part 1 and Part 2 and JavaScript Programming or equivalent experience
