Music in Pop Culture; *Gr. 6-12 New Class

This class will focus on the music we listen to every day, touching on different styles, artists and groups that populate our society. What makes these songs popular? Why are they catchy? Where are these songs played and how do they infiltrate and affect society? Listen to songs in your generation, your parents’ generation and even your grandparents’ generation and dive into the culture and theory of these great songs and musicians, looking at what made them tick then and what makes them tick today.
