Spanish: Intensive Spanish for Beginners; Gr. 9-12

This year our classes will run all day for one week for grades 9-12. We want the students to be immersed in the language and come away with a one- of-kind language experience.

After completing this course, you should be able to hold a basic conversation, ask and answer simple questions, deal with common traveling situations (times, costs, locations, restaurant choices, shopping phrases) and use other Spanish resources (guidebooks, phrasebooks, pocket translators) more effectively. This course will also prepare you for a more thorough Spanish 1 class when you wish to become more proficient. Course will include thirty (30) hours of classroom activities (instruction, games, oral presentations and projects), access to online practice materials and the opportunity to create a binder of Spanish resources for future use. This is an excellent beginning Spanish course which solves the problems common to most first-year students. Written by an experienced Spanish teacher, this course is a MUST for students who plan to take Spanish in college! Learn to speak BETTER Spanish FASTER!

If a week long experience does not fit your schedule, check out what SCE Languages has to offer for teens! These language courses meet weekly for six weeks - Chinese, French, German, Japanese & Korean.
