Springfield: Land of Lincoln New Class

Join Osher Lifelong Learning Executive Director, Kim Beck, for a history-packed trip to Springfield, Illinois to honor and celebrate the life and legacy of Abraham Lincoln. Get to know the man behind the legend.  Explore the Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.  Tour the New Salem Historic Site, where Lincoln began his career; the Lincoln Herndon Law Office, where he practiced; the old state capitol, where he proclaimed, “A house divided against itself cannot stand...”; and the Lincoln Tomb, his final resting place. Then take part in Lincoln's Ghost Walk: Legends & Lore – with Lincoln sites as the backdrop for the ghostly and strange stories surrounding his life and death.
