Collections of Significance at UWM Libraries

Tour UWM’s American Geographical Society Library – one of the foremost geographical collections in North America, and the largest in a university setting. Gain an overview of more than one million items including maps, atlases, photographs and digital spatial data, with curator Marcy Bidney. Next, see UWM’s Special Collections with librarian Max Yela. Consisting primarily of rare and special printed materials dating back as far as the 15th century, the collection supports a wide range of research and teaching activities in the arts, humanities and social sciences, and some pieces just might surprise you.
