FTA Triennial Review: Overview and Tips Available Online

The Triennial Review (TR) is one of the Federal Transit Administration's (FTA) management tools for examining grantee performance and adherence to current FTA requirements and policies. Mandated by Congress in 1982, the triennial review is applicable to Section 5307 fund recipients and occurs once every three years.  The review currently examines 17 areas. This asynchronous online course is designed to provide an overview of the process. The course is four weeks, requiring only 3-4 hours of review time at the participant's convenience. Case studies and exercises follow each week. The curriculum has been developed by an experienced reviewer who also helped design the current TR training offered annually by the FTA.
