Ethics and Values in the Nonprofit Sector

Explore key moral issues of, and managerial approaches to, promoting ethical conduct among nonprofit employees. Learn how to promote proper conduct, how to manage ethically and how to handle potential problems in enforcing philanthropy rules.

More

Nonprofit managers and boards of directors are often so attentive to their missions and various funding and staffing crises that discussions of ethics gets stuck on everyone's to-do list. This workshop explores the challenges of making ethics the heartbeat of non-governmental organizations. Scenarios and interactive exercises identify key ethical issues, articulate guidelines for decision-making, and develop a process that managers can apply to their own organizations.
