Barbara Bartlein is a registered nurse and a mastered level social worker. In 1978, she participated in the development of the first Hospice in the Milwaukee area at St. Joseph's Hospital. She also worked in Hospice homecare in Boulder, Colorado and was the Vice President of St. Mary's Hospital in Milwaukee. Barbara is Past-President of the National Speakers Association--the Wisconsin Chapter and is a Certified Speaking Professional, a designation held by less than 8% of professional speakers. She is the author of the column, "The People Pro", which appears in NursingMatters Magazine, and numerous other periodicals. Barbara is a contributor to the Chicken Soup series and appears in "Chicken Soup for the Nurse's Soul" and the new "Chicken Soup for the Caregivers Soul." Her book "Why Did I Marry You Anyways?" received a five-star rating from Amazon and is a best seller.
