Wanda Montgomery's career has been spent serving the community: for the past two years as a Director of Community Parnterships for Children's Hospital and Health System; as CEO of Children's Family and Community Partnerships; as Project Manager for MAXIMUS, and Executive Director of Gray's Child Development Center, Inc., and Preparatory Academy in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Wanda is also an active volunteer in the community, with memberships including the Black Child Development Institute-Milwaukee Affiliate, National Black Child Development Institute, Black Women's Network, Rite Hite YMCA, Victorious Women's Conference, Supporting Families, Milwaukee's Fatherhood Initiative, Black Alliance for Educational Options, Secretary Council on Child Welfare, and the Governor's Work Group on Child Care Rates. her consulting and teaching experience includes; Adjunct Professor for the UWM School of Education; Consultant for the United Way of Great Milwaukee, Child Care Resources and Referral Network, and Validator with NAEYC. Wanda is a voice for quality childcare in Milwaukee and beyond. She has presented locally, statewide and on a national level as it related to childcare issues. She is passionate about children and their futures and how she can make a difference. A quote that demonstrates her passion is from Maya Angelou "When you Learn, Teach-When you Get, Give". Wanda earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from the UWM, and a Master's Degree from Marquette University. She has collaborated three child care guidebooks "Blueprints for Excellence-Starting a Child Care Center," "Creating the Child Care Classroom" and "Personal and Professional Development". Ms. Montgomery believes in the importance of family. Growing up as one of nine children, she is well acquainted with the rich benefits of a solid family life. She and her husband Floyd have three adult children and three grandchildren.
