Matthew Friedel is CEO/principal of Jam-Mobile.com, a leading developer of custom Android, Windows Phone, Blackberry, mobile web, iPad and iPhone software applications (apps). Matt has a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a Master of Science in engineering as well as a Master of Business Administration from Marquette University.
Matt has advised and worked on projects, both native apps and mobile web, for clients included R.W. Baird and Company, Kohls, Trade Press Media, Nth Degree Software and The Hardwood Manufacturers Association. Matt is also actively involved with Milwaukee’s startup culture, including support for Spreekler, MiKE, Vet-Transfer and Victory Spark.
Matt is actively involved with Milwaukee's developer and creative arts community. In 2011 Matt gave two presentations at the MiKE event, Innovation in Milwaukee, on mobile technology. In the spring of 2012 Matt presented at the BizTimes BizExpo on the topic of Mobile Marketing: How to Harness the Power of Smartphones and Tablets. In the summer of 2012 Matt presented at the Wisconsin Dells inaugural developer conference on mobile, web and cloud, That Conference, on The Next Billion Dollar App! How to Take Your App Idea From Concept to App Store!
Matt is also an instructor at Milwaukee Area Technical College and Marquette University in the Colleges of Engineering and Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science. Matt’s classes have included UI Responsive Design, Website Design for Mobile Devices, Mobile Marketing: Reaching Your Customers with Smartphones/Tablet Apps, Introduction to Mobile App Development (UWM), Android - Mobile Application Development, iPhone and iOS Mobile App Development, Integrated Project-Programmer/Analysis, and Programmer Analyst Internship.
