  Claus Dunkelberg  

Graduated from Valparaiso University with a BSCE. Member of Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity. During his professional career held various positions from project engineer to Vice President responsible for projects and clients from the municipal and private sectors within the water space and solid waste. In 1979 was named Young Engineer of the Year by the Wisconsin Society of Professional Engineers. Currently is a registered professional engineer in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, and Florida.

Life time member of American Water Works Association and Past Chair of the Infrastructure Management Committee. Member of Water Environment Federation.

Professional Experience Summary:

Brings over 30 years of nationwide engineering and management expertise in infrastructure systems. Infrastructure projects include water systems, wastewater systems, storm water systems, roadways, solid waste facilities, airport infrastructure, GIS projects and sustainable design projects. Projects typically involved development and implementation of municipal programs for replacement, upgrading or expansion of infrastructure systems. Experienced in developing teams with multidiscipline capabilities to complete infrastructure projects for clients such as O'Hare International Airport, Chicago Midway Airport, enabling projects for O'Hare Modernization Program and in major metropolitan areas such as Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison, Atlanta, Baltimore and Detroit.

Currently Mr. Dunkelberg is working with the Water Council as the Business Development Director coordinating efforts to align industry, government, academia, and NGO's to promote economic, talent and technology development in the water industry while bringing global recognition to Wisconsin and the Milwaukee region as a World Water Hub.
