Janice Fitzgerald is a Principal Engineer at the A. O. Smith Corporate Technology Center, in Milwaukee, WI. A. O. Smith is the world's largest manufacturer of water heating appliances, with a rich history of bringing new technologies to the marketplace. The Corporate Technology Center is focused on applying and developing innovative new technologies to produce high performance, high efficiency products. In her role, Janice develops improved strategies for energy conversion and maximized performance of energy transfer within systems.

Janice has a strong interest in engineering education and serves as Vice Chairman of the UWM Mechanical Engineering Department Industry Advisory Council (MEDIAC), and as a member of the Carroll University Engineering Advisory Council. She is a member of ASME, and participates in the Milwaukee area Solar Hot Water Business Council. She is also a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and at Advocates of Ozaukee.
