Sonia has taught a variety of blues courses for SCE, beginning in 2000. She conducted a semester-long blues course at Justus Liebig Universitat in Giessen, Germany in the mid-1990s, and a Freshman Seminar on blues at UWM in 2007. She has hosted blues programs for public radio in Milwaukee for almost 22 years, 18 of which have been at WMSE. Sonia is a freelance writer, and has conducted hundreds of interviews, including with B.B. King, Jorma Kaukonen, Les Paul, and many others. She is also a Senior Lecturer in the English Department at UWM.
