  Kurt Woolford  

Kurt Woolford serves as the Chief Engineer for the Lake County Stormwater Management Commission overseeing the engineering and regulatory functions. He is the Enforcement Officer for 14 communities in Lake County administering and enforcing the Watershed Development Ordinance (WDO). Kurt also oversees the Technical Advisory Committee which has recently completed a major update to the WDO including sustainable performance standards for wetlands and runoff volume reduction. Prior to joining Lake County, he worked in the private sector designing and managing various water resource projects, including storm sewer and detention design, drainage studies, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, and erosion and sediment control. He received as BSCE from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an MBA from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
