Robert Smith is an Associate Professor of History at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He received a BA from Purdue University, an MA from Central Michigan University and a Ph.D. from Bowling Green State University. His research interests include: African American history, Civil Rights, Legal History, Race and Law. Dr. Smith's teaching areas include: African American history, Civil Rights history, U.S. Legal history, African Americans and Law, General African American Diaspora Studies.
