  Michael Drew

“An Afternoon with the Lunts”  On a snowy February day in 1967, theatrical legends and longtime Wisconsin residents Alfred Lunt and Lynn Fontanne invited Drew to their Waukesha County estate-escape for an extremely rare tour and dual interview just as their remarkable 55 year career on stage together ended. Drew recalls highlights from that day and shows video clips from some of their finest performances. Mike Drew has won prestigious writing awards and was recently inducted into the Milwaukee Press Club Media Hall of Fame. He has written a nationally syndicated column, taught and lectured widely and led two national associations of newspaper critics and columnists. In 2006, he concluded a media column for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel which ran, in various forms, for 43 years. As a longtime music critic, Drew now contributes Journal Sentinel and Milwaukee Magazine reviews and interviews in the jazz and classic pop areas.
