Sherri Samuels-Fuerst is the director of compensation and benefits at Sargento Foods Inc. in Plymouth, WI. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and a master's in industrial and labor relations from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She is a Registered Nurse and is also currently certified as a Professional in Human Resources through SHRM, and a Group Benefits Associate and Compensation Management Specialist through the International Foundation of Employee Benefits.
In her 20+ years in human resources, Sherri has held a number of roles within the HR department, from occupational health nurse to HR generalist roles. In 2001 she transitioned into a specialist position within Compensation and Employee Benefits, where she could more fully utilize her medical background.
She is active in the community, including serving on the Sheboygan Area Healthcare Coalition, in which she coordinates the annual National Employee Health and Fitness Day for Sheboygan County. Sherri is an adjunct instructor, teaching organizational health and wellness at a local technical college. She also teaches the Compensation and Benefits SHRM module for PHR candidates, and has been a presenter at numerous local and national conferences. Past leadership roles include board involvement in the Sheboygan County YMCA, Sheboygan Area Chapter - Society for Human Resource Management, and the Southeastern WI Association for Occupational Health Nurses, Inc.
