For many years, Sue Munger has had an interest and a passion for understanding personalities and how they interact in the workplace. She believes it is very important to choose a career that fits your personality. Sue has studied the MBTI extensively, and is certified to facilitate True Colors workshops, which are based on the MBTI.
Sue believes everyone can find their “calling” in a career and thus be more fulfilled and successful in the workplace. Her mission is to help people realize their ideal career match and their potential. But, once someone’s found their match, the job search methods they apply are equally important. There are many nuances to seeking and finding work. Sue has led and attended many workshops and classes to learn techniques for success – helping people aged 16-80 find work.
For 26 years Sue worked full-time for the state of WI as a rehabilitation counselor where she provided career counseling and employment-seeking assistance to hundreds of people. She has developed expertise in understanding disabilities and other barriers to employment. After retiring, she still wanted to work part-time using her existing skills, so began her serious job search and her personal insight into the current process of switching jobs and finding one later in life. She is currently working and enjoying three varied positions, all having to do with career services.
Sue has her master’s degree in educational psychology-rehabilitation counseling from UW-Milwaukee where she gained her first knowledge about career counseling. Her undergraduate degree is in social work. Sue appreciates the wonderful opportunity to work for her alma mater! As a licensed professional counselor, she is required to take continuing education credits every year and continues to update her skills. Sue is a member of the National Career Development Association and the WI Career Development Association.
