  Tracy Tackett

Tracy Tackett, PE is the Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) Program Manager for Seattle Public Utilities. She is responsible for the management, direction and decision-making for capital improvement projects and significant programs focused on using green infrastructure to reduce the effects of Seattle’s urban stormwater runoff on our receiving water bodies, including Combined Sewer Overflow reduction. Tracy has more than a decade of experience leading SPU’s GSI efforts including bioretention, rain gardens, cisterns, green roofs and permeable pavements. She has designed innovative Natural Drainage Systems projects, including SEA Street; directed design standards for bioretention and permeable pavements in the street rights-of-way; as well as standardized stormwater design criteria for use of green infrastructure to the maximum extent feasible for stormwater code requirements. The GSI program also works to integrate GSI sustainability goals with other City sustainability goals such as complete streets and climate change adaptation. Mrs. Tackett holds a Masters of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a concentration in water resources management from the University of Washington.
