Mrs. Henk grew up in the small community of Reedsville, WI which is located just south of Green Bay, Wisconsin. She attended the local public school and participated in various school activities.
She began her college career at the University of Wisconsin - Manitowoc where she received her Associates Degree in Arts and Sciences in 2002. While a student, Mrs. Henk was also a full time engineering technician for a local municipality which sparked her interest to continue her civil engineering education at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee.
Mrs. Henk was the 2012 ASCE nominee for the National Engineers Week Foundation’s New Faces of Engineering and was featured in an ad in USA Today during Engineers’ Week. She was also the recipient of the 2012 Outstanding Younger Member in the Private Sector from the Central Region Younger Member Council, 2011 Citizen Engineer Award from the ASCE Committee on Volunteer Community Service, and 2011 Wisconsin Section Young Engineer of the Year.
Currently she works for GRAEF in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the Water Resource Group and resides in Germantown with her husband. She has her Professional Engineer License both Wisconsin and Illinois and is a LEED AP in Building Design and Construction.
She is currently serving ASCE as the Southeast Branch President and Web Coordinator, Wisconsin Section Committee on Sustainability Chair, and the Southeast Branch Younger Member Group as the STEM Expo Co-Chair . In her spare time, she plays softball for her church and is training for a half marathon.
