  Dan Anhalt  

Dan Anhalt is a native of Wisconsin, and has worked in the private sector for most of his professional career – having transitioned to the academic world ten years ago. Much of Dan’s 20+ years of professional industry experience has been in the area of human resources management. He has managed and directed employee relations, recruiting and training functions for firms in the information technology, banking, retail and insurance industries.

His academic background includes a bachelor's degree in human resources from the University of Wisconsin, and a master's in adult and continuing education, through UWM.

Currently, Dan serves as the Assistant Dean of Administration and Finance for the University of Wisconsin-Washington County. Prior to that, he was a director of continuing education for the University of Wisconsin Colleges with responsibilities including management of the Washington County Continuing Education Department, and also functioned as their statewide director for customized training and business development. Within these departments he was responsible for coordinating statewide customized training and research functions.

In addition, he was responsible for all continuing education programs offered through the University of Wisconsin-Washington County, including business offerings, customized training, enrichment programs, domestic and study abroad travel and youth programming.

Dan has been an ad hoc member of the UW-Milwaukee SCE staff, teaching for both train the trainer and the organizational development certificate programs for more than 10 years, with a number of consulting experiences in the areas of organizational development and strategic planning. He has taught a number of human resources courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in both face-to-face and online formats. Dan also serves on numerous community boards and has been the executive director of a local economic development organization for the past seven years.
