Dr. Edward Beimborn recently retired as director of the Center for Urban Transportation Studies at UW-Milwaukee and had been a faculty member at UWM since 1968. He has been involved in a wide range of policy-related activities and planning studies sponsored by federal, state and local agencies. These efforts have dealt with a broad range of transportation and infrastructure development issues including the planning and operation of mass transit systems, analysis of the impacts of transportation systems on the environment, evaluation procedures, transit service design, land use planning methods for better technology transfer, port operations, railroad analysis and freight transportation. Dr. Beimborn also has served as a visiting scholar in Great Britain and Israel.
