  James D. Meadows

James D. Meadows has been a full-time consultant for over 20 years. He is one of the top lecturers and authors on the subject of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in the world. He has an unparalleled knowledge of how the tolerancing, manufacturing, design and inspection disciplines can come together to make for the highest quality, lowest cost products.

He has written eight best selling books on GD&T, Measurement and Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis. He is an active member of ten ISO and ASME/ANSI approved standards committees including Y14 Main, Y14.5.1 and the Y14.5 support group on Dimensioning and Tolerancing.

He has personally trained over 30,000 students and consulted on product lines such as satellites, shuttle engines, heart/hip/knee implants, automobiles, motorcycles, armored personnel carriers, submarines and computers to the size and shapes of cereal products.

He has been a college instructor, a journeyman die maker and is the founder and chairman of the new ASME Y14.43-2003 standard on Dimensioning and Tolerancing Principles for Gages and Fixtures.

His belief is that training is most effective when the participants have fun and get a chance to practice what they are learning.
