Many of the courses for this two-year, 30-credit Master's program can be completed online, or in small evening and weekend face-to-face classes. Up to nine approved transfer credits are accepted.
Throughout this program, participants will:
- Examine social forces affecting urban schools and communities
- Study key concepts in adolescent development and race relations
- Develop relationship-building skills to connect with youth
- Learn about group homes, community centers, runaway shelters, camps, after school, group care, and drug and alcohol counseling
- Complete field placement in a facility that serves youth
