Definition of CEU:

Generally, a CEU is defined as ten hours of participation in a recognized continuing education program, with qualified instruction and sponsorship. CEU records are widely used to provide evidence of completion of continuing education requirements mandated by certification bodies, professional societies, or governmental licensing boards. The records also provide employers with information on training pertinent to particular occupations.

UWM Water Technology Certificate:

Within two years, if you attend 50 hours (5.0 CEUs) or more of recognized continuing education on Water Technology, you will receive UWM's Water Technology Certificate.

For information about this Certificate, refer to the following link:
http://www.sce-watertechnology.uwm.edu

Water Technology CEUs at the Green Energy Summit 2012:

For each one hour of attendance in recognized Water-related presentation/s during this Summit, you will receive 0.1 CEUs. Thus, if you attend 5 hours of presentations on this topic, you will receive 0.5 CEUs. You may use these CEUs towards UWM's Water Technology Certificate.

After attending the recognized presentations, you will need to submit the list to the UWM representative at the conference registration site. This information will be entered into our database and when the individual attends any of our Water Technology courses, these CEUs will be counted towards the requirement for the subject certificate.
