Nikotris Perkins is a Program Manager for Public Allies Milwaukee. She is in charge of the implementation and management of the training and learning program, recruitment of allies and partner organizations, as well as program evaluation and alumni relations.
Nikotris is passionate about providing people the opportunity to practice transformative leadership and envisions a programming where allies are inspired and empowered to be catalysts for change in Milwaukee.
Prior to Public Allies, Nikotris developed and implemented a youth program at My Brother's Keeper in Baltimore, MD and served as the Site Director for 21st Century Community Learning Centers in Dallas, TX. She also served as Associate Director of Pre-College Programs at Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI.
Nikotris graduated from Alverno College with a BA in Community Leadership and Development in 2003 after her service as a Public Ally. She has also pursued graduate studies focusing on Black women leaders in Milwaukee, curriculum development and 21st century education. She volunteers at many community service organizations such as The National Urban League, The Links, Inc., Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and The Young and Powerful Group.
