Dan Chojnacki currently serves as Program Manager and Director of Community Partnerships with Public Allies Milwaukee. In this role, he supports 10-12 Public Allies each year in developing their community leadership abilities and expanding the organizational capacity of their nonprofit placements through the Public Allies Apprenticeship program. Further, he develops and maintains relationships with the approximately 35 nonprofit and government agencies that host Allies each year. Dan began with Public Allies Milwaukee in August 2008, and before that held a variety of youth development positions in community-based programs, including the City of Minneapolis' Summer Youth Job Program: STEP-UP, the CLC program at Milwaukee's United Community Center, Tree Trust Summer Youth Job Program and Camp Nor'Wester in the San Juan Islands of Washington State.
Outside of Public Allies, Dan is a proud father to one son. He is pursuing a Master's in Community Counseling at UWM, volunteers at Walker's Point Youth and Family Center, and has a strong interest in music. Dan plays the guitar, bass, banjo, saxophone, and keyboards, and loves biking to work.
