POLICIES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES

STUDENTS WHO DO NOT ATTEND CLASS (including discussions) or contact the instructor during the first week of classes may be administratively dropped from the course.

All course prerequisites are enforced in MATH 102, 103, 105, 108, 115, 116, 117, 175, 176, 211, 221, 231, 232, 233, 234, 341 & MTHSTAT 215. Students on waiting lists and students who attempt to add or change sections after Open Enrollment should be prepared to show proof of prerequisites in the first week of classes. Math advisors are available in the Department of Mathematical Sciences to help students with prerequisite verification problems. Students are encouraged to consult with them during the first week of classes.

MATH PLACEMENT LEVELS are used as prerequisites for Math 092, 095, 098, 103, 105, 115, 116, 117, 175, 205, 211, 213, 231, 240, and 341.
MATH PLACEMENT LEVELS are defined at:
http://uwm.edu/math/undergraduate/resources/math-placement/ Please note: The College of Letters & Science charges an additional special course fee for Distance Education (online) sections. These sections can be distinguished by a section number beginning with 2-- (e.g., 201, 202). If the special course fee is not listed in the Schedule of Classes, please contact Andy Cuneo, L&S Student Academic Services, via e-mail, acuneo@uwm.edu, or phone (414) 229-2787.
