ENGLISH-100: Introduction to College Writing and Reading (4 units; U )

Critical reading and writing, with emphasis on the processes of writing, revision, and academic conventions. Students produce a portfolio of revised essays.

The required textbook for this course is A Student's Guide to the First-Year Writing Program at UWM by the First-Year Writing Program, English Department of UW-Milwaukee (retail price: $2.42). Enroll in a LEC/DIS combination with the same last two digits; i.e., enroll in LEC 402 & DIS 602.
