INSTRUCTIONS FOR INDEPENDENT STUDY, INDEPENDENT READING, & FIELD WORK COURSES: to register on PAWS, choose 'Add a Class'. Select the term you want to add the class to. Next to Search for Classes click 'Search'. Select subject from the drop down menu and enter the Catalog Number. Click on 'Search'. Select section with your instructor's name, click on 'select class.' Select the number of Units from the drop down menu then click on 'Next.' Click on 'Proceed To Step 2 of 3'. Click on 'Finish Enrolling.' Some courses may require permission to enroll.

Please Note: DIFFERENTIAL TUITION, applied regardless of the credit plateau, for all students enrolled in most undergraduate courses offered through the degree programs within the UW-Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts beginning in the Fall 2004 semester. Eight 100-level General Education Requirement (GER) courses do not carry the differential: Music 100, Music 101, Music 102, Art 100, Art 105, Art 106, Art 124, and Theatre 100.The differential tuition rate will be set at $21.80 per credit during this academic year. Additional tuition enhances the quality of education in the Peck School of the Arts.

MUSIC-230: Form Analysis (3 units; U ; FEE)

Study of the basic cells used for evolving musical structures. The two-part, three-part, and five-part song forms are analyzed, theme and variation form, song form with trio, sonatina form, sonata allegro form, and the symphonic, concerto, and chamber music structures are discussed and analyzed.
