UWM Charter Feature of the Month
Milwaukee College Prep School
Scholars from Milwaukee College Preparatory School – Lindsay Heights Campus understand the significance of developing good test-taking skills. The third grade class wrote and performed a “Rap about MAP” testing for a school assembly to help students focus as they complete the tests. Measures of Academic Progress assessments from the Northwest Evaluation Association are used to gauge student growth over time in reading, math, language, and science. MAP is a computerized and adaptive program aligned with the state assessment that provide schools with the information necessary to help improve teaching and learning.
Great MAP Rap performed by 3rd graders
I know I can, be what I wanna be.
If I work hard at it, I’ll be where I wanna be.
I know you can, be what you wanna be.
If you work hard at it, you’ll be where you wanna be.
MCP boyz and girlz listen up…
Map testing begins this week, this is what we need to seek.
Knowledge, power, confidence, most of all-- perseverance
Scores going up- right through the roof.
Lindsay Heights scholars bring the heat, it’s the truth!
Questions might be hard, but don’t get discouraged
Keep your head high and show your courage.
Re-read the passage, go back and check
Process of elimination, keep it on deck
You have all the tools that you need to succeed
MAP TESTING--Proceed……with ease.
I know I can, be what I wanna be.
If I work hard at it, I’ll be where I wanna be.
I know you can, be what you wanna be.
If you work hard at it, you’ll be where you wanna be.
