Recommended Practices in Early Intervention and Early Childhood Special Education

This project is funded by the U.S. Department of Education to synthesize the knowledge found in the scientific and professional literature and the knowledge from the experience of parents, practitioners and administrators about those practices that produce the best outcomes for young children with disabilities. |
| Project CATE:D/HH - Field-based Teacher Education to Prepare Teachers for Diverse Learners Who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. | Funded by the U.S. Department of Education this project is designed to address three critical needs:
(1) reduce the current and potential future shortage of certified teachers of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, grades K-12;
(2) prepare early childhood educators in the area of deaf/hard of hearing;
(3) develop skills to competently serve children from diverse ethnic and linguistic backgrounds and their families. |
| Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services Early Childhood Research Institute (CLAS) | This project is part of a multiple-university Early Childhood Research Institute that strives to improve early intervention services for young children and their families.
The goals of this institute are to collect, review and catalog materials and practices for families and children representing culturally and linguistically diverse populations. |
