School of Education Faculty Awards
The School of Education honors excellence in the areas of teaching, research, and service with the School of Education Faculty Awards. Recipients receive a $1,000 award, provided by the Friends of the School of Education.
2012 Awards Procedures and criteria:
a) Only full time School of Education faculty and staff are eligible for the awards
b) No recipient may receive an award in the same category more than once in a three year period.
c) Nominations will be solicited from the full time faculty and staff and students.
d) The selection of the awardees will be predicated on evidence submitted to the Awards Committee by the nominees. Evidence from the previous three – five years will be considered in making the award.
e) Evidence to be considered is that required by the Executive Committee of the Division of Professions in making personnel decisions. In the case of Community Service, the focus is on service to the metropolitan Milwaukee area and the State of Wisconsin.
Nomination and selection process:
a) Nominations should be made using one of the forms available on this site or by a letter of recommendation. Self nominations will also be accepted.
b) Nominations are due no later than Friday, March 16, at 4pm; and they need to be submitted electronically to korinek@uwm.edu.
c) The nominees will be asked to provide specific materials in support of the nomination, depending on the type of award.
d) Nominees may submit materials to only one category in a given year.
e) Once nominated, all materials in support of the nomination are due electronically as a single PDF file to korinek@uwm.edu by Monday, April 16, 2012 at 4pm.
f) The Awards will be submitted to Dean Colbeck by May 4, 2012, and then announced at the May All School Meeting.
