Wisconsin requires all candidates in professional education programs to develop a portfolio as part of a completion requirement.
These professional educators include: Teachers, Reading Specialists; Library Media Specialists; Speech/Language Pathologists; School or District Administrators; School Psychologists; School Counselors; and School Social Workers.
Beginning in 2008, all newly admitted students in UWM’s professional education programs are required to develop an e-portfolio. Using an electronic, web-based system has many benefits. It will provide a digital workspace to create and maintain important artifacts related to your growth as a professional.
This e-portfolio can be shared instantaneously with professors, classmates, and groups for assessment and collaboration. Your program will give you further information and guidelines about this requirement.
