Vocational Technical Education
Vocational and technical education programs help to prepare individuals for employment in such fields as business occupations, marketing and distributive occupations, health occupations, technical and emerging occupations, modern industrial and agricultural arts, trade and industrial occupations, and other occupations requiring other than a baccalaureate or advanced degree. At the postsecondary level, adult students comprise an increasingly large proportion of students served by vocational and technical institutions.
The series of courses in this focus area provide opportunities for current and future employees in vocational and technical institutions to become more effective in the development and delivery of programs and services to students, enhance their career options, and meet certification requirements of the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS). Individuals who are currently certified and those seeking certification can pursue challenging course work in this field.
