The Department of Administrative Leadership offers a School Principal/Director of Instruction online sequence of courses for students interested in either a master's degree and/or dual DPI licensure - Principal License (51) and the Director of Instruction License (10).

closeup of the word education in dictionaryThe University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, in an effort to meet the leadership needs of the school districts of Wisconsin, provides a fully online, two-year accelerated sequence of courses leading to a UWM master's degree in Educational Leadership and/or DPI licensure as a school administrator. The courses are designed to meet the needs of those currently serving their schools as Wisconsin DPI licensed teachers.

The UWM Department of Administrative Leadership is committed to the development of educational leaders. We believe that excellent educational leaders nurture leadership among others in the school community, create positive work environments for staff, students and parents, and contribute to the improvement of teaching and learning.

Additional courses needed for the Director of Special Education and Pupil Services and the School Business Administrator licenses are available on the UWM campus. New sequence begins Spring 2012.
